On this day in history, the sun rose. Yeah, pretty amazing, right? Strangely enough, it happens every day. Anyways, I’ve come to tell you about funny things and to post this video. This video has a great explanation of a historical event. It’s really interesting, and it has some humorous parts.
ANYWAYS. Moving onto the stuff that matters. On this day in history, the Warsaw Pact was formed. I’m not really sure what a warsaw is. I talked with a few intellectuals about it, and they had conflicting points of view. One said that it was a weapon used in maid-evil times. It was used to cut down trees, and sometimes to cut down people. Another said that it was some sort of sea creature, almost like a walrus or a seal or a juniper. A third said that it was the capital of Poland, before it disappeared. The last was dead. He wasn’t very talkative, but he was a GREAT listener and good with kids. Although I’m not sure if that’s a good thing.
After doing some research on the internet, I found that the Warsaw Pact was when a group of sea creatures with maid-evil weapons that lived in Poland (once again, before it disappeared,) got together and made a pact. This pact said something, but I’m sure it was. Anyways, Winston Churchill once said, “A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on”. I wonder why he thought truth would have its pants off…maybe he was still angry about it sleeping with his wife? I dunno. Anyways, I thought I’d take this time to say that Lawl-wrench of Arabia died on this date. But nobody cares about him. To wrap things up, have another link.

LOL LENIN!

Right-o, so here I am, to make a review on Team Fortress 2. Now, you’ve probably heard about this game. If you haven’t, you are not a true gamer/geek, and should be executed at sundown. Anyways, this game became famous after being delayed for 8 years. It was announced as a sequel to the still-popular Team Fortress Classic, a mod for Half-Life, and went into development hell until 2007, when it was eventually released on October 10, 2007. In the developer commentary on Dustbowl, one of the maps, an employee stated that it took so long because they were trying to find a version they were happy with. Apparently, there was an idea for a commander, but it was scrapped due to the fact it could ruin the players’ fun if there was a terrible commander, or vice versa.
I picked up the Orange Box from my local Best Buy on Black Friday, when it was priced at a measly $20. I also got a copy of BioShock, which is pretty fun too. (I have yet to finish it.) I played Portal while waiting for Team Fortress 2 to download, which took a while. Portal was epic, and I suggest you play it if you haven’t already. Read the rest of this entry »

YDNEY (AFP) - An Australian state government’s plans to shoot more than 10,000 wild horses to protect the environment were Sunday attacked by some animal rights activists as inhumane. ADVERTISEMENT
The Queensland government had attempted to keep the cull of the horses, or brumbies, a secret because of fears of a public outcry.
But government documents confirming the cull were obtained by the media while the Save the Brumbies charity reproduced photographs it said are of the cull on its website.
One of the images shows a foal standing over its dead mother while the second shows a horse left to die with a wound to its rump and gut.
