Inflight Wi-Fi

Airlines are finally going to start trials of in-flight, high-speed, wireless internet this year. Southwest and American Airlines as well as Alaska Airlines and Virgin America has announced trials of onboard internet trials. Southwest Airlines will begin its trials this summer of 4 737s. American Airlines and Virgin America one-up Southwest though. This summer, American Airlines will put internet access on all coast-to-coast 767s, and Virgin America will put the internet on all of its planes. Maybe, within the next few years, you will be able to pull out your laptop, or tablet pc, or whatever new crap we have by then and access the internet while flying.

By the time they get it fixed so it doesn’t crash the plane, and kill us all in some horrific accident, we will all be mentally linked, and wifi will be the next Atari.

That would be good, onboard Internet. Also a good way to make money, although people would be upset about it.

Virgin America only flies between big cities though.

    I would like that

That would really be cool. However, there are already a basic version of this on planes. Sadly, the reason most airplane-safe phones are still not allowed because of the noise it would cause for people to be talking. That would be the same with computers. All the typing and clicking would disturb those who are superior than us regarding the ability to sleep.

That is what earplugs are for!
